Position Description
A Wine Steward at Catherine’s Market would assist in the
selection of wine, along with the maintenance and growth of the wine department
and wine program.
Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
- Weekly ordering,
receiving and proper storage of wine.
- Maintaining professional
(weekly) connections with all wine reps.
- Maintaining proper
margins and pricing of all inventory.
- Selecting and
maintaining weekly wine special.
- Assisting customers in
wine selections and all special ordering.
- Planning and executing
all wine events at Catherine’s.
- Organizing and
maintaining detailed backstock.
- Monthly physical
inventory.
Requirements:
- Experience in the
service of wine to include any of the following: fine dining service, wine
bar service or wine bottle shop service.
- A proficient knowledge
in wine theory is preferred.
- A desire to continue in
wine education.
- Must be 21 years old.
